IOSH have developed the IOSH Working Safely course because personnel working in any sector deserve to understand about health and safety.

The IOSH Working Safely course is comprised of five modules which are delivered in one day.

Each module summarises the key health and safety elements which will be reinforced by a combination of clear case study examples and thought-provoking facts from recognisable scenarios.

Delegates will participate in informal and interactive quizzes and discussions before evaluating their knowledge with multi-format questions and hazard spotting exercises.

Objectives

By the end of this IOSH Working Safely course programme delegates will be able to;

  • Understand the impact of accidents on multiple levels
  • Understand the importance of personal responsibility towards safety
  • Define hazards and risks
  • Complete a risk assessment
  • Identify common hazards
  • Understand the systems and processes that are used to improve safety performance
  • Understand the ways and means environmental protection can be achieved

Target Audience

IOSH Working Safely is for personnel who require a basic understanding of health and safety in their job role.

Award

An IOSH Working Safely certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the written and practical assessments which conclude the IOSH Working Safely course.

Revalidation

There is no revalidation period for the IOSH Working Safely certificate.
