Summary
OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Refresher E-learning is designed to ensure personnel continue to retain an awareness of the major accident hazards, workplace hazards and associated controls found on offshore installations.
The course will assess existing knowledge of the topic area, identify any knowledge gaps and then present the delegate with course content that is tailored to address these specific knowledge gaps.
Delegates will be asked a series of pre-assessment questions at the start of the unit to test your current knowledge. The result of this assessment then helps to create a personalised course where learners will be presented with the specific knowledge needed to achieve all the required learning outcomes.
Objectives
Delegates completing an OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) Refresher E-learning will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the major accident hazards, workplace hazards and associated controls found on offshore installations
Target Audience
Experienced offshore workers, to renew their MIST certification.
Prerequisites
Learners must posess:
a) A valid OPITO MIST Initial or valid OPITO MIST Further training certificate
or
b) A valid Vantage POB number
and
c) Have previously worked offshore in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) or Internationally
Award
An OPITO certificate will be issued on successful completion of this course.
Revalidation
The training course must be revalidated via an online assessment every 4 years.
