Objectives
Delegates completing an OPITO approved ERRV Crew Fast Rescue Craft Boatman training course will be able to;
- Assist in the preparation, launch and recovery of the FRC
- Assist in the rescuing and recovering of a casualty
- Assess and treat a casualty's injuries
- Perform basic boat handling and use of communication equipment
- Perform towing operations
Target Audience
Fast Rescue Craft Boatman working aboard an Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV).
Prerequisites
In order to complete an OPITO approved ERRV Crew Fast Rescue Craft Boatman training course, delegates must hold a valid OPITO approved ERRV Crew Initial Training Shipboard Operations certificate or reassessment to an equivalent standard through the OODTP.
Award
An OPITO certificate will be issued upon successful completion of an OPITO approved ERRV Crew Fast Rescue Craft Boatman training course.
Revalidation
The certificate is valid for 3 years and must be revalidated through the OODTP at sea.

- Government issued photographic ID e.g. Driver's Licence or Passport
- A change of clothing
