Objectives
By the end of this COSHH Assessor training programme, delegates will be aware of;
- Relevant statutory obligations, including the COSHH regulations
- The effects of contamination from COSHH materials
- The control measures required to mitigate or eliminate the risks from hazardous materials
- The requirements for monitoring and health surveillance
By the end of this COSHH Assessor training programme, delegates will be able to;
- Identify COSHH materials and possible routes of contamination
- Gather information in preparation for the assessment
- Collate information gathered and complete samples of the relevant documentation
- Make decisions based on the findings and put controls in place

Prerequisites
There are no formal prerequisites for a COSHH Assessor training course.
Award
An in-house training provider certificate will be issued on successful completion of this COSHH Assessor course.
Revalidation
There is no revalidation period for this training programme but refresher training is recommended every 2 years.
