Summary
OPITO Control Room Operator (CRO) Emergency Response Competence Assessment and Coaching tests the emergency response skills of CROs.
Restrata instructors will assess a delegate's response in a minimum of two emergency scenarios and produce a written appraisal based on their performance.
Assessments take place in a purpose-built replica of a control room on an offshore installation.
PLEASE NOTE: This course is delivered on behalf of Survivex by our sister company AIS Training in partnership with Restrata under its accreditation.
Objectives
By the end of this OPITO Control Room Operator (CRO) Emergency Response Competence Assessment delegates will be able to:
- Demonstrate competency against the CRO emergency response standards
- Complete a minimum of two simulator scenarios which cover threat to life, threat to installation and threat to the environment
Target Audience
Control Room Operators and Control Room Supervisors.
Prerequisites
In order to complete an OPITO Control Room Operator (CRO) Emergency Response Competence Assessment delegates must have:
- A completed element 1.1 at the start of the assessment process which is filled in by the delegate attending and endorsed by their line manager
Award
An OPITO-approved certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the OPITO Control Room Operator (CRO) Emergency Response Competence Assessment.
Revalidation
There is no expiry period for the certificate.
